Yup we've been married 3 whole years. Honestly it seems like so many more. Here are some funny fact from our pre-dating/marriage days.
-I had known who Wally was because he was in my ward. The first time I tried to talk to him was at a FHE . Everyone told me how nice and cool he was so I tried to chit chat. He gave a 1 word answer and walked away.
-My roommate was head over heels for Wally. The first time I noticed how cute he was, he had come to see her. He smiled and i thought "wow his smile is so cute"
-We were in the same group of friends who went to the Hyrum City Rodeo. He bought my ticket after he dared me to tell his friend Cody he was cute, and i did.
-At a ward talent show, Wally got up and lip sang a song. I cheered for him. My roommate (who still was head over heals for him) turned to me and said "You're acting like you like him." I was like "No I don't like him, I'm just cheering for a friend."
-Wally started asking me out after my roommate (the one who was now obsessed with him) and I dared him to read the "Dating vs Hanging out" talk by elder Oaks. I was trying to get him to ask my roommate out.
-The talk was my personal copy with all kinds of sassy remarks in the margins about how lame guys are.
-He asked me out several times before i finally said "No, my roommate likes you and I don't want to hurt her." (until then he was clueless she liked him even though she called him all the time and always invited him to do things with her) But when he said he'd take me 4 wheeling I changed my answer. (i love 4 wheeling)
-4 wheeling we watched the sunrise
-That same 4 wheeling ride he told me he wanted to date me exclusively. I said no. But then on the way down the mountain held his hand.
-The next day I couldn't stop smiling.
-I told my friend Margaret about the 4 wheeling ride and she (who had seen me date several people) pretty much told me that she'd never seen me so happy and that Wally was so great and I should date him.
-She was right!
-We were married 4 months later.
-Wally makes me laugh most every day!
-I'm so glad he was persistent and kept asking me out 'till i finally said yes.
-I'm so happy when I'm with him.
-Honestly we don't have a lot of hobbies in common but when it comes to what's most important to me (family, faith, how we live our lives) he and I are very similar and for that I'm thankful.
Here's to 3 years down and an eternity to go.
I LOVE YOU WALLY

That is so sweet
Hey! Happy anniversary! I had to chuckle reading your list of funny memories because I remember those too. Way to go Wally for being persistant. I knew you two were gonners when you guys came to my house together for a party and he was holding Cordi and beaming from ear to ear. I think I have a picture from that night. I'll look for it!
LOVE the stories! I even remember seeing Andrew (I don't usually call him Wally cuz I even have Wally as a nickname)on a date with you, and it might have even been the first date, driving around in his big Ford truck, with a blonde girl with him.
I have NEVER seen "Wally" so happy before he met you. I remember on your wedding day someone asked him how happy he was on a scale of 1-10. He said "100!"
He loves you so much! I am so happy you are in our family.
So sweet! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
